So ...

I Have NO IDEA if anyone is still following this Blog.

I obviously dropped the ball on NaNoWriMo, which is sad, but ...

A) It's NOT the end of my writing projects ! NaNoWriMo was to be an inspirational kick-in-the-sensitive-body-part-of-choice in order to get me started. I failed naNoWriMo, it didn't fail me. But ...

B) Who the heck thought NOVEMBER would be a good month to try to write a novel in ??!??! Seriously, aside from maybe December itself, November is like the BUSIEST month of the year with the MOST demands on time.
In addition to all the normal demands on my time (re: holidays, family stuffs, etc), November saw the beginning of negotiations around the rental of our new house. Yes, negotiations, as in not just "Do we get the house", but "Can we pay just first now and deposit later ?", and " Holy Carp ! The deposit is HOW much ???!!?", and eventually "Look, I KNOW you want some money RIGHT NOW, but we have this agreement with our current Landlord to, y'know, not just stop paying them and move out in the middle of the night. We need to give them the 30 days notice YOU would like to receive if we ever decided to move out of the house we rent from you. Notthatweeverwanttomoveouteverever."  . In any case, the negotiations worked out fine and we now have doubled our number of rooms (both kids now have their own rooms, AND we have a playroom/ guest room as well as what I'm assured is called a GREAT room. It's pretty damned cool, but that just seem like an ostentatious name for a room, and the LAST thing you want is a room that gets uppity on you).
My spouse ALSO got incredibly sick at this juncture. I'm just really happy to be part of a two man parenting team. My heart goes out to you single parent folks. It is not fun.
Then in December, I did the actual MOVING part with some very gratefully acknowledged help from some very nice people (THANKS !!!!!), but I did an AWFULL lot of it by myself too.
All of this, understandably got me somewhat off-track on my writing projects. But ....

C) I'm back to mulling, and not the cidery kind. I want to move forward once again. I'm thinking of making my very own JustBoWriMo. Maybe ... April ?

If I actually get any comments here, I'll be astounded. I WILL notify those folks who seemed interested before once I get down to serious business, but who knows if someone has a notification thingy set up for this Blog.

So if you ARE reading this, go ahead and comment.

Astound me. You KNOW you want to :)

  1. I put you in my RSS feed so that anything you post is pushed to me, it makes it easier. I recommend that you just write, and don't worry so much about the mulling. Mulling is procrastination and you won't know what happens until you write it. And I agree, November is a terrible idea. Congrats on a bigger house, I'm looking forward to doubling my space in a few months, and I can hardly wait!
